The Commission meeting was held in presence of the president and members of the Commission with the National Environment Protection Agency, Kabul Municipality and General Traffic

On the 17 qaws of current years, the Commission meeting was held in presence of the president and members of the Commission and invited from the National Environment Protection Agency, Kabul Municipality and General Traffic Directorate in the commission meeting to protect the environment and to prevent air pollution.
At the beginning, Qanonpoh Dr. Mohammad Qasim Hashemzai, president of the Commission, welcomed the Departments of the National Environmental Protection Agency, the Kabul Municipality, and the General Traffic Directorate in addressing the problems and challenges of air pollution and environmental protection and better-implementing Article 15 of the Constitution and they talked and discussed.
Subsequently, Mohammed Farouq Fakir, Head of the Department for Overseeing of the Implementation of the Constitution on the Governance institutions, presented a brief report to meeting on the challenges of air pollution and environmental protection in accordance with Article 15 of the Constitution.
Then Mr. Mohammad Yusuf Hamidyar, administration and Financial Deputy Director of the National Environmental Protection Agency, commended the leadership of the Commission for conducting the meeting and spoke about the existing challenges and difficulties and promised in better implementation of the article 15 of the Constitution and added: for climate changing, sustainable development and reduction of air pollution created Short-term and long-term plans and as well as regulation that according to that problems are gradually resolved.
Also, Dr. Mahtab Alimi, Environment and Utility Deputy Director of Kabul Municipality, talked about the current challenges: the lack of proper awareness of the culture of urbanization and the increase in population in Kabul is the cause of increasing the problems the following presented information on the plans and activities carried out by the Kabul municipality.
Subsequently, Mr. Ruhollah, Environment manager of General Traffic Directorate, according to Agenda, spoke about the plans to build a center for technical and antiquated vehicles in Kabul. According to article 33 and 47 of the road law, 15 to 20 Old and smoky vehicles are stopped due to technical examinations are sent to the town (shahrak). The Traffic Department has plans and programs in hand and need time to implement it.
In addition, the members of the Commission raised questions on the subject that the Deputy Directors responded to. In the light of the comments of the Honorable Counselors, the next meeting on environmental issues is to be held with the participation of the Kabul Municipality, National Environment Protection Agency, General Traffic Directorate, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Agriculture, National Agency of Norm and Standards, Petroleum, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Commerce and other relevant Organs.
Recently, Qanonpoh Dr. Mohammad Qasim Hashemzai, president of the Independent Commission for Overseeing the Implementation of the Constitution asked the respected organs to further efforts for better implementation of article 15 of the Constitution in order to improve the existing environmental status and make the necessary improvements.
The meeting ended with a prayer for the good of the country.
