No law shall contravene the tenets and provision of holy religion of Islam in Afghanistan.
Qazawatyaar Mohammad Aref Hafez, member and secretary of the Independent Commission for Overseeing the Implementation of the Constitution, mentioned this in a ceremony commemorating the 17th anniversary of the adoption of the country's constitution in the Ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs.
The ceremony was held to celebrate the 17th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution Qazawatyaar Mohammad Aref Hafez secretary and member of the commission, Dr. Aminuddin Mozaffari Deputy Minister of Hajj and Religious Affairs, heads, officials and other employees of the ministry attended.
The ceremony began with the recitation of a few verses of Quran by Professor Qari Barakatullah Salim, then Qazawatyaar Mohammad Aref Hafez thanked the organizers of the Ceremony for the seventeenth anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution and he spoke in details about the rule of law and the rule of sharia in the legal system and added: What has been out of the public eye for two decades is a combination of the two "While the basis of sharia rule is four principles and the rule of law in Afghanistan is based on sharia principles.
The secretary of the commission also provided comprehensive information on the first, second, third and fourth articles of the country's constitution to the participants of the ceremony and added: No law shall contravene the tenets and provision of holy religion of Islam in Afghanistan. (Article 3 of the Constitution of Afghanistan) Then, Dr. Aminuddin Mozaffari, Deputy Ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs spoke on the occasion of the 17th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution and called the Constitution a national guarantee and called this law the mother of laws in the country.
He also provided information to the participants about the historical course of the country's constitutions in different periods of the country, and six features of the constitution, which are: Explicit religion, explicitly adjust the accent, Recognize the activities of political parties, the curriculum in the light of Islam, freedom of expression and the rights of citizens in the constitution in 1382. The meeting ended with pray for permanent peace in the country.
